The joy is in the "JOURNEY"

Updated: Jul 10

From the start of life, we often find ourselves eagerly anticipating the next milestone. As children, we eagerly await the day we turn 16, longing for the freedom that comes with a driver's license. Then, the excitement builds as we approach our 21st birthday, a momentous occasion symbolizing adulthood and new opportunities. Later, the focus shifts toward attending college, graduating from high school, and embarking on a journey of self-discovery.

However, as time progresses and we gain more experience, we realize that the true joys in life lie not solely in what lies ahead but in embracing the present moment and appreciating the journey itself. We begin to understand that it's not just about reaching a goal or a specific age but rather about finding fulfillment in everyday experiences and being fully present where we are.

Throughout the years, I've learned that one of the most crucial life lessons is the importance of being fully engaged and giving 100% of ourselves to the present moment. It's about being grateful for what we have, cherishing the relationships we've built, and making the most of the opportunities that come our way.

Life's joys are not solely confined to the future milestones we set for ourselves but instead in recognizing the value of where our feet are planted. It's about finding contentment in the small moments —the laughter shared with loved ones, and the growth we achieve through the challenges faced along the way.

As we navigate the journey of life, let's not focus solely on what lies ahead on the horizon. Instead, let's embrace the beauty in the present, celebrate the lessons we learn, and fully immerse ourselves in the joys of the small moments.

I certainly know that I have been blessed to experience so many memorable moments in life and in the game that I love so much.
